Shared Meals

HCAt our table, you are always welcome.  Shared Meals is where those who find themselves homeless come to enjoy a taste of HOPE though a shared hot meal served by volunteers like YOU!

Appetites unite us all, so we use food as the starting point for building community.

Working together with our church network and volunteers throughout the community, HOPE South Florida has provided over 31,850 shared meals for homeless individuals through our Shared Meal program.

Currently, six lead churches and volunteers from dozens of various churches provide a shared meal for upwards of 150-200 men, women, and children at least five days every week.

Hot meals are served 7 days / nights a week by volunteers from churches, corporations, schools and civic organizations. Meals are hosted at a local church or faith based partner where guests enjoy respite from the hot Florida sun. Each meal includes a time for devotion and prayers, assistance with proper identification, birth certificates, mail, and new work Boots to assist them with gainful employment. In FY2018, HOPE South Florida provided 50,000 Shared Meals for homeless individuals across Broward County.
